Damn... It was cold!!!

I went to the implosion of the old UAMS dorm this morning. I was supposed to be there by 7:00 am, but didn't make it until 8:00. The temperature was 19 degrees. Charles and Hannah were there. Charles was wrapped in his Granny blanket and drew a lot of attention from the gathered media. They all shot video of him, and when they found out he used to live in the dorm, they all got sound bites. What a celebrity!!

I had trouble finding an angle. I wound up on top of a dumpster, thanks to the help of two friendly guys who were much more nimble than I am. I shot the blast just fine. When it came time to get down, I had a bit of trouble. The lid of the dumpster collapsed and I went head first into the trash. It was pretty juicy. I lost my keys and cell phone, and had to dig a bit to find them. By the time I got out, I was fairly ripe. No photos will be published, but here is my best take.

Whn I left, it had warmed up to a balmy 20.

I never did see Bill Forbess.
